I am SO happy that you sat on the Jack Rabbit and slept in a wigwam! As for Mesa Italiano...I was going to tell you about that place, but I didn't remember where it was exactly. Jason took me there for our first Valentines dinner. We had only been dating for about a month and I had just that very same afternoon suddenly come down with the worst case of the flu I ever had. When he said he was taking me out to dinner, I assumed he meant to Garcia's right there in Chinle and I was actually going to cancel. Then he showed up at more door with flowers and told me we were going to Holbrook (90 miles away!) and it was just so sweet I couldn't cancel so I went anyway and hardly ate anything. We did go back a few more times though, when I didn't have a fever. Ahhh the memories....

Hey, saw your comment on askmefi, and as I don't have an account and no way to create one at the moment, and I can't seem to find an email for you, I thought I'd leave you a comment here. Please delete as you see fit.

One of my friends had this random throwing up stuff that started after he'd been in the ER for a headache that wouldn't go away. In the ER he had a lumbar puncture to check the CSF pressure, and they used a large gauge needle. This left a hole through which CSF was escaping and making the CSF pressure low, thus causing headaches and random throwing up when he was standing up and not other times.

Took them three days of hospital stay to figure out that it was this and all they had to do was a 'blood patch', meaning injecting his own blood into the CSF, which provided platelets to close that hole.

Ok, that was maybe too much info and I'm sorry if I grossed you out but man, after the hell my friend went through, I just hope no one else ever has to deal with it again.

And I hope you feel much much much better soon. *hug*

Who is wearing a tiny cowboy hat? I can't see any picture. Did it expire?

BTW Firefox AutoFill tries to put my name in the Mail field above. You should look into that. It sounds like a meta data or tag problem.

Hey, biblio!

I was just digging up an old link to Better Angels and saw you had a new site. This is just a drive-by hello from the woman formerly known as Dreaming Feet. Also, if you haven't read it yet, Good Omens by Pratchett and Neil Gaiman is delightfully funny. Not part of the DiscWorld series, but it has trademark Pratchett humor.

Hope all is well in your neck of the woods.
